DIY Kits | 1:1 Mentoring | Goa Immersion | Age 13+ | Certification | 6 Months
What began with 30 students in 2021 has grown into a 400 plus strong community driven by curiosity, ambition, and a shared commitment to learning, building, and growing together.
Our students represent over 50 cities, spanning small towns, rural communities, major metros, and global hubs, bringing diverse perspectives and experiences into one connected, collaborative learning ecosystem.
With more than 50 scholarships and aligned partnerships, we remove financial barriers and create access, ensuring deserving students receive opportunity, mentorship, and the resources needed to confidently learn and build.
The Innovation School is a hybrid program for teens (13+ and
lifelong learners) that combines pre-engineering, design, and
STEAM learning with real, hands-on projects.
This part of the program is essentially focused on developing fundamental technology skills at the intersection of hardware, design, and programming. These comprise 4 mandatory skills and 1 elective from Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality.
Before the in-person residency, participants join a 10-hour online pre-residency to sharpen and strengthen their project ideas.
Through live sessions with global mentors and peer cohorts, learners refine problem statements, test assumptions, and shape clear project roadmaps.
This phase ensures every participant arrives at the residency aligned, confident, and ready to build with purpose.
Talents identify a unique problem statement, define their passion project, and then work on building a prototype of the solution. This involves concepts of design thinking, frugal innovation, and rapid prototyping. Each talent works with select mentors, peers, and is supervised by the Maker’s Asylum Team.
Total Time: 40 Hours
Days: 7
Outcome: Functional prototype of a solution
Format: Talent can opt for an offline residency
As part of the virtual skill building experience, Innovation School Kits are sent home to each talent. Theycontain exciting hardware that helps create a makerspace at their desk. Each skill is taught through a project which includes the following
