Reading and agreeing to the policy document is mandatory because it outlines all rules, timelines, and expectations for your participation. This ensures a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for everyone.

Complete 5 hands-on skills online: Electronics & Microcontrollers, IoT, CAD, PCB, and VR within 7 months. Participate in mandatory pre-immersion calls and teamwork. Attend your assigned Immersion (Summer or Winter): No switching allowed.

Sessions are 1 hour each and can be booked via MASH from 9:00 AM–10:00 PM IST. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Emergencies can be cancelled within 12 hours, but frequent late cancellations or absences may result in warnings, suspension, or a ₹20,000 reactivation fee. Uninformed absences, such as missing more than 2 consecutive or 3 total sessions without notice, lead to suspension and a parent meeting.

No. Mentors are assigned by the Operations team and Immersion cycles are fixed to your intake. No personal requests or batch switches are allowed.

Report any damage or missing parts immediately for a replacement. If you lose a component, you’ll pay shipping for a replacement. Damaged parts can be replaced via shipping from Goa or by local laser cutting (DXF files provided). You can also complete kit work during your Immersion.

You have already signed up for the residency during your onboarding. You’ll receive an email with details about the upcoming residency you’re eligible for, based on your onboarding date. Winter cohort dates are announced in July each year. Summer cohort dates are announced around February each year. Seats for each cohort are filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Respect mentors and teammates at all times. Unprofessional, rude, or uncooperative behavior can result in immediate suspension or removal. Active participation in team activities and pre-program sessions is mandatory.

Pre-immersion is a mandatory online session with your cohort and mentors. You will team up (2–4 people) for collaboration and project planning. This is the time to brainstorm and ideate project ideas together. You will prepare your team’s Bill of Materials (BoM), get guidance from mentors, align on project goals, and ensure you’re ready for the hands-on Immersion.

Immersion is a 7-day program in Goa. It starts with 2 days of core maker skills training (woodworking, 3D printing, laser cutting), followed by team-based prototyping. Teams, consisting of 2–4 members, source their own Bill of Materials (BoM). It's important to note that completion of IoT, Electronics, CAD, and PCB skills is a prerequisite for Immersion. After the Immersion, you are required to submit your project documentation within 2 weeks.

No, accommodation is not included. You can either opt for our Accommodation Package for an extra cost (details will be shared during the cohort announcement) or arrange your own stay.

After Immersion, you’ll be introduced to open-source (OSHWA) and patenting processes. Teams decide together on open-source or IP protection, with Maker’s Asylum as a partner if patenting. As for Prototype Ownership, teams decide who keeps the prototype or each member can build their own.
