Welcome to Winter '25 Innovation School Immersions

• Start by identifying a problem you are passionate about solving.
• Research to understand the problem deeply.
• In the pre-program calls, brainstorm & submit a minimum of 3 possible solutions.
• Share the ideas with the mentors & team during Pre-Immersion Calls
• Finalise one idea as a team that everyone agrees to build. 
• You can also watch out for more idea in you Talent Progession Report emails

• Make sure your camera is ON during all meetings and sessions. 
• Always respond when questions are asked or discussions are happening. 
• ⚠ Not turning on your camera or not participating may lead to suspension from the program. 
• Choose tasks based on what you enjoy or are good at. 
• Take turns with roles like leading meetings, taking notes, or sending updates. 
• Encourage quieter teammates to speak up and make sure everyone is heard.

• We will be creating Discord groups for all the teams. You can also set up a group chat (WhatsApp, etc.) to stay in touch. 
• Use a shared folder (like Google sheets/docs) to keep all notes and files in one place. 
• Send regular updates or check-ins every few days, even if it’s just a quick message.

That’s up to the team! You have a few options: 

1. Decide mutually who takes the shared prototype. 
2. Each member can build their own version by buying individual components. 
3. You can also leave your prototype at Maker’s Asylum to showcase it for future cohorts.

• 🙌Be kind, respectful, and open to new ideas. 
• Listen without interrupting and ask questions if something isn’t clear. 
• Be on time, be prepared, and give your best effort.

• Talk calmly with the concerned person if something’s bothering you. 
• If needed, bring it up with the group in a respectful way. 
• Ask a mentor or the MA Team for help if you can’t sort it out on your own.

• Don't forget your laptop along with your external mouse (wired or wireless) and charger.
• For your safety in the woodworking lab, wearing closed-toe shoes (preferably hard-toed or hiking shoes), tying up long hair, and full-length bottom wear is mandatory at all times.
• If possible, carry all the components of your Innovation School Hardware Kit. You'll be using them for your projects and also for an experiential game that we have planned for you as part of the residency.
• If you're traveling by flight, we recommend carrying the batteries in your hand luggage and placing the rest of the components in your checked-in luggage to ensure smooth clearance at security checkpoints.
• Note-taking: You'll want to take notes, so bring a pen and a notebook/notepad.
• Stay hydrated: Staying hydrated is important, so bring a refillable water bottle.

• No, all the Cohort and team allocations are final and cannot be changed.
