During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was an acute shortage of effective and sustainable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for frontline healthcare workers. Typical protection like N95 masks, goggles, and hoods are: Single-use Dependent on strained global supply chains Often poorly breathable, leading to discomfort and reduced efficiency India, as of June 2020, had over 200,000 COVID-19 cases, intensifying the demand for PPE.
