About Mathable: Low-Cost AR Device for Geometry Learning

Solution

Functionality: Shape Detection: The device recognizes marker positions on a flat surface and calculates their placement in a pixel plane. Shape Formation: It connects the markers to form a convex polygon, then projects the shape back on the surface using AR. Real-time Geometry Calculation: Displays: Name of the shape Edge lengths Enclosed angles Area of the shape Formula used to calculate each Live Feedback Loop: As markers are moved, all the shape data updates in real time, providing interactive conceptual learning. Interactive Modes: Puzzle Mode: Presents geometry-based challenges to solve Free Play: Allows open-ended exploration Toggle between basic and detailed views for content depth

Additional Info

Impact: Promotes hands-on learning for abstract math concepts Ideal for low-resource educational settings Encourages active experimentation and curiosity
