NeuroDrive

Problem Statement

A lot of everyday technologies and robotic systems still depend on buttons, joysticks, touchscreens, or handheld controllers. For people with limited mobility, injuries, or those who are on bedrest, using these controls independently can be difficult or inconvenient. This shows the need for alternative control methods that make technologies more convenient to use and more accessible.

About NeuroDrive

Solution

NeuroDrive is an EMG-controlled robot car that uses muscle signals as input commands. An EMG sensor detects electrical activity generated by muscle movements and sends the data to an ESP32 microcontroller. The microcontroller processes these signals and converts them into movement commands for the robot car, allowing it to move and change direction based on specific muscle actions. This provides a direct connection between human muscle activity and robotic control without the need for traditional controllers.

Additional Info

NeuroDrive was inspired by the idea that our muscles can do more than just move our bodies—they can also communicate with machines. By converting muscle signals into robotic movement, this technology has the potential to help people with physical disabilities interact with devices in a more natural and accessible way. It demonstrates how human-machine interaction can become simpler, smarter, and more inclusive in the future.
