Problem Statement

Farmers often struggle to monitor soil moisture and temperature, which are critical factors for crop survival and growth. Traditional methods are labor-intensive and time-consuming, resulting in poor resource allocation and reduced crop yields. There is a need for an automated, real-time, and accurate monitoring solution that helps farmers make informed decisions about irrigation, sowing, and fertilization.

Solution

  RC car platform retrofitted with insertion/extraction tools Sensors tested and embedded inside a custom-fitted chassis Cardboard prototype followed by refined version with 3D printed parts Arduino programmed using Arduino IDE Sends data to farmer’s email via WiFi (IoT-enabled)

Idea: The RC FarmBot is a remote-controlled car equipped with: Soil moisture sensors Temperature (DHT) sensors Arduino Uno microcontroller WiFi module It traverses farms, measures environmental conditions, and sends data via email using IoT and Adafruit. The bot allows farmers to optimize irrigation and improve agricultural efficiency. Constraints: Environmental Durability: Needs rugged sensors to withstand dust, moisture, and heat Integration: Ensuring compatibility and data transmission between sensors, Arduino, and communication modules
