Weather-Station

Problem Statement

We wanted to explore and learn about electronics, coding microcontrollers using Arduino for ESP32, 3D printing and soldering. We choose this Weather Station project from Instructables to teach ourselves these skills

About Weather-Station

Solution

We built an ESP32 powered weather station which displays data on a remote dashboard. It can measure Temperature, Humidity, Atmospheric Pressure, Wind direction, Wind speed, rain sensing and rain fall quantity (rate). The project is based on the excellent DIY Weather Station With ESP32 built by Giovanni Aggiustatutto. We modified the 3D print files to suit our requirements (mainly for bearing sizes, magnet diameter, and mounting holes etc). In addition, we 3d printed our own mounting brackets for each of the sensors so we can mount it all together on a 36mm x 24mm aluminum pipe. For future upgades, we plan to add a proper weather proof enclosure for the electronics.
